Our promoters, with more than 40 years of experience, in addition to Coal, we are also strong in Steel, Non-Ferrous Metals. Our promoters have travelled several countries for business and present in 8 countries. We have excellent contacts of buyers in India. Over a period of time, we have also evolved and imbibed upon good sourcing strength with excellent knowledge of logistics and supply chain.

Mr. Muralidharan Thoykkat (Murali) has been a Commodity Trader for more than 4 decades. He started his sales career a way back in early 80’s but has held responsible positions from early 90’s.

He has worked with large corporate conglomerates in Steel and Steel raw materials, Producers of solid fuels and multi-billion worth trading companies as a profit-centre head. Currently, he is heading a large Bauxite Mining Company from Gujarat as CEO and Managing Director in addition to trading of other commodities such as Steel, Steel Raw Materials etc. Marketing of Coal is his forte, as he has sold millions of tonnes of Coal to India, China and small quantities even to Thailand also.

He has excellent contacts with Mining Corporations in Indonesia, South Africa (RB1, RB2 & RB3), Australia and USA. In addition to Thermal Coal, he has also sold millions of tons of Coking coal to several steel plants in India including the Steel Authority of India (SAIL).

It is worth mentioning that he was instrumental in bringing the first vessel of Coking coal from USA to India (From Logan & Kanawha Coal mines west Virginia Norfolk port to Visakhapatnam Port) for Steel Authority of India (SAIL). Currently SAIL is having a contract with Logan & Kanawha Coal Mines West Virginia for a quantity of 2.5 million tons per annum.

Mr. Murali has occupied key positions in big Companies in senior management positions in both procurement as well as sales, and these portfolios had greatly helped him to be successful when he took over varied senior positions in his career. He has excellent knowledge in Minerals and Ores and has got good contacts globally whether it is for sourcing or for selling of Minerals, Ores or Solid fuels. He also has good knowledge in Cement and Cement raw materials as he has dealt with Mega Cement Corporations in India, China and other countries in South East Asia.

Over the last 40 years of his rich exuberating experience including 7 years in Singapore as CEO of one of the subsidiaries of a large Singapore Stock Exchange Main Board listed company, he has also done international marketing of Agro Commodities whether it is grains or pulses or sugar. There was a team of traders in this arena reporting to him and he handled overall Management as Profit Centre Head.

Over the last 40 years of his rich exuberating experience including 7 years in Singapore as CEO of one of the subsidiaries of a large Singapore Stock Exchange Main Board listed company, he has also done international marketing of Agro Commodities whether it is grains or pulses or sugar. There was a team of traders in this arena reporting to him and he handled overall Management as Profit Centre Head. Currently, he is on an independent leadership role as Managing Director & CEO with Caravan Resources Pvt Ltd. (www.caravanuniverse.com). After China almost left with surmounting aversion of exporting of Bauxite from India to China, Murali got into an interlocutory role and started the Bauxite export after his dialogues and presentations at the Asian Metal Conference in Jinan in 2018.

Mr. Murali also has excellent networking connections within the Paper Industries in India and he is helping the Paper Industry to find pulpable Wood including Wood Chips from Vietnam, Thailand, Malaysia etc. for Indian Paper Industry.

He has been a preacher and predictor of commodity futures. Chaired several seminars and given lectures on coal, minerals & ores. He has travelled more than 50 countries for business, handled more than 400 employees, and controlled markets in 8 countries. He has also evolved and imbibed upon good sourcing strength with excellent knowledge of logistics and supply chain. He is a specialist in taking through needle-hole Six Sigma approaches.

Banking and Financial Institutions including Index rating companies for solid fuels and agro commodities have always taken advice from him time to time on pricing formulation and price movements of these commodities. In fact, banking institutions have always taken a weekly update from him on these commodities where his mastery and strength greatly positioned him standalone where specialized advice is necessary. Mr. Murali is also a specialist in Merger and Amalgamations (M&A).

A keen Golfer, Mr. Muralidharan Thoykkat is also the Executive Committee Member of the Cochin Chamber of Commerce & Industry (Established in 1857).
