Foundry Coke
Foundry Coke

Foundry coke is a special grade of metallurgical coke made from selected coking coals and produced through carbonization at high temperatures. It is characterized by its large size, high strength, low reactivity, and longer burning time compared to blast furnace coke. These properties make it ideally suited for use in cupola furnaces, where it provides the necessary heat to melt iron and maintain a stable furnace operation. Foundry coke also supports the charge materials in the furnace, allowing good gas circulation and efficient melting. Due to its durability and steady performance, it is widely used in foundries for the production of cast iron and related applications.
